ABOUT US
30 Visually impaired people were taught a skill of basket weaving. At present the Department of Social Development gives a small subsidy for 20 visually impaired individuals. However, this subsidy being given is not sufficient to keep the center running.  We provide a safe and sheltered working and learning environment for the visually impaired community in Kimberley and eventually the whole of the Northern Cape. We are working towards a better future for them by giving them a chance of independence and mobility. We want to provide programmes and training for them because this is not their last stop as we are the little shove in the right direction.  We are focused on providing the proper foundation for our visually impaired community’s minds and souls. We want them to thrive and leave here knowing that they can do anything they put their minds to. They are blind but they are still very capable. We are here for visually impaired people and will make it our very priority to help them achieve greatness.
